Development and Operations (DevOps)

DevOps in Practice

Almost every company claims to do “DevOps.” In practice, however, it is implemented in many different ways and often diverges from textbook examples. Most organizations also have varying interpretations of what the term actually means.

To me, DevOps is about delivering solutions in a predictable and agile manner, enabling higher quality software delivery output while increasing innovation and reducing operational overhead. The exact way of working depends heavily on an organization’s business goals, maturity, mindset, culture, and IT management practices.

My Experience as a DevOps Engineer and Architect

I have worked in autonomous, T-shaped development teams, infrastructure and operations teams, and roles in between. My focus is on collaboration and knowledge sharing within- and across teams. I worked with various public and private cloud solutions, using both IAAS, PAAS, SAAS or a mixture. I have experience with both Microsoft and Linux environments. I have an open mindset and a strong T-shaped skill set.

What I Can Do for You

  • Implement GitOps tools and workflows
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Establish end-to-end observability for applications and infrastructure
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes
  • Guide Kubernetes engineering and adoption
